Winter barley plays a particularly important role in our operation. It not only gives us an early start to harvest but also enables us to clear the ground quickly so we can sow the next crop of oilseed rape at the optimum time. Establishing oilseed rape early is key to achieving its full yield potential, and our careful planning ensures the crop receives the best possible start.
As part of our commitment to producing premium-quality crops, we grow seed varieties of both winter and spring barley. This allows us to command a better market price while also trialling new varieties on our own land.
